Well where did this week go? I tell ya my list of things I want to get done
just seems to get longer and the time to get them all done is getting shorter
and shorter. I am linking up today with Doodle Bugs for Five for Friday.
I will admit since this is
summer vaca there is very little about school and pretty much just a recap of
my thrilling quiet week.
I got the call this week that
they had finished cleaning my classroom and removing the wall to expand my
room. Well I jumped in the car and sped slowly drove over to check it out. I’ve got it down to 12 minutes don't ya know.
I know it is summer and I am
not supposed to be thinking about school, but I was sooo excited about my room
expansion that I just couldn’t wait to check it out. The new addition is obviously all the area
with nothing on the walls…lol. Where the
black fabric and green jungle paper stops are where my room ended last
year.
I am so excited to plan what I am
going to do with all this extra space.
Be sure to check back the beginning of August for the big room reveal.
I have also spent quite a bit
of time this week working on the computer.
I am finishing up a special freebie for all ya’all and a few other items
for my TPT store. I am very excited to get that new endeavor started. Anywho, I was burning the midnight oil and
had to take a quick potty break….
I came back to my spot on the
couch and this is what I found…lol. My little
cutie snuggled up on my sweatshirt with her paws folded up on the track pad of
my laptop. I guess she thought she
better help me finish so we could go to bed.
I swear I did not pose her this way. I was surprised she stayed like this long
enough for me to grab my phone and snap a pic.
I think she didn’t move ‘cause she thought she was going to be in
trouble.
I took a run to town to hit
the dollar store to see what I couldn’t live without for my room.
I got these great caddies to hold supplies on
my tables and the little green bins for crayons. Who doesn't like a math game with giant foam dice. The little shot glasses are
for a special project I will share with you next week. No we are NOT playing drinking games…lol.
I also picked up a few other supplies
for some Monday Made it projects. Check
back Monday to see my results.
I also enjoyed my bi-monthly
therapy session this week…also known as getting my nails done….lol
When you live with a house
full of boys and spend your days with 5 year olds sometimes you just need some
girl time. So every other Thursday you will find me chatting it up and treating
myself to a wonderful manicure.
Isn’t Monica da bomb! She hand paints everything. No stickers, templates, or air brushing. I
just love the colors she picked for this week.
Well it is Friday Fun Day. Each Friday during the summer we try to do
something fun all together.
Today we are going here…
The boys have been anxiously
awaiting the release of this latest Transformers movie so we will be spending
the afternoon in the dark enjoying some movie popcorn, so much better than the
microwave stuff at home…don’t you agree. I can never stick to my healthy
eating plan when we go to the movies…it would be a sin to not enjoy the popcorn with the
movie wouldn’t it?? I do just drink
water instead of the soda, so that makes it not so bad right? Don’t answer.
So what fun have you been up
to this week? I would love to hear about
your adventures.

Every time I see those little shot glasses I try to think how to use them. I need to just go ahead and buy them and decide later! You just have to love the dollar store! My fun this week was to help my daughter put up bulletin boards in her new classroom!

Teachers Are Terrific!
What great finds!!!! I am headed to see what my Dollar Tree has in that green! I love that your sweet doggie wanted to help you. Mine hate when I am on the computer and like to lay across my chest with their face against my mouth so I have no choice but to stop and love and play!

Laura, I LOVED this post! First of all- good for you with the manicures! I have had exactly one in my life. Note to self- get more. I kept staring at my nails loving them. I also love the fun things you are doing with your kids this summer. What great memories. And your dog= tooo precious! Your room will be so awesome with some extra space. Wasn't it like you sort of never left when you walked in? Something about that smell or something of school. Hmmm. Enjoy every day!!!

Kindergarten: Holding Hands and Sticking Together
I do totally feel like my class is my home away from home and I have to admit, I did kind of miss it when I walked in. I think that is why I don't mind spending so much time decorating it just right. I am there more hours when I am awake than I am at home...lol.

I have 6 boys so I know EXACTLY what you need about some girly downtime! I love the design! i am super jealous of your extra space in your room - that will be fabulous! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHaving a bigger room is sooo exciting! Have fun decorating it! My dog is always shutting my laptop when I am working! Dogs are so funny!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny that your dog shuts your laptop. Trixie even tries to paw at the cursor sometimes when I am working. I will just start moving it all over and she is going crazy trying to get it...I know that is not nice, but it is just so funny to watch her.

How lucky to be getting a bigger room, now the fun begins deciding what to do with all that extra space. I try my hardest to avoid discount stores, I go in for one thing and come out with twenty!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your beautiful weather :)
