Meet The Teacher

So glad you stopped by my lil’ blog.  My name is Laura Duinkerken, my hubs and I have been married for 26 years and we have 3 boys.  Beau-23, Jacob-20 and Grant-18.  We live in California.  I know you're probably envisioning a beautiful sand beach…alas the view out my back window is a field of alfalfa.  We live in a small rural town in central Cali and the country life suits us all. 

I began my teaching career back in 1996 as a Junior High ELA teacher and cheerleading coach. Fast forward several years and now I teach Kindergarten and I love it. It is exhilarating and exhausting all at the same time and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. When I'm not at school you can find me spending time with the family, usually cheering my boys on at the race track. There is never a dull moment in our house.
